I think 2023 is going to go down as the year of Medical Headaches - complete with tooth issues, sinus issues, a run in with COVID in March and my wife’s knee replacement surgery in early August? Our joy knew no bounds. Needless to say, we stayed home a lot.... With all of that in mind, while we did a few projects - I finally managed to fashion a signed for McDougall’s House of Horrors from Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein, plus a few other bits and pieces - and purchased a couple new items - Home Depot scored for us twice in a genuinely boring year for props, with an amazingly HUGE Green Dragon and a terrific 9’ Winged Vampire a la The Last Voyage of the Demeter - great, overlooked monster movie, btw - overall, after the Major Shopping Spree we did last year plus the aforementioned medical headaches, we made the most of what we had, and tweaked, torqued and came up with something we thought was pretty darn cool if you ask me... I have to give HUGE kudos and thanks to our

What a strange year 2022 turned out to be….lots of highs and lows, and a lot of the time simultaneously! My wife had not one, but two good sized surgeries, one in February, another in July, both successful, but definitely stressful. I turned 55 in June, and, just in time to celebrate with my wife and loved ones in Chicago, I end up in an ER with asthmatic bronchitis the morning we’re supposed to leave…two hours and one breathing treatment later, we still make it…. In July, after four years, I *finally* receive my due from a former employer, and this precipitates all kinds of Halloween purchases….we have three big Purchase Parties and secure all kinds of goodies!!! August brought us a tremendous amount of sadness as we lost two of our beloved cats, Skylar, whom we'd had for 18 years, and then Cougar, whom we'd had for 15, within three weeks of each other....truly heartbreaking...but we rallied, and now Tigger and Snickerdooldes rest between us... BTW, let you in on a little secret:

What was that line about the best laid plans of mice and men...? *ahem* 2021 was a really bizarre and tragic year, especially in the light of COVID-19 and the continuous ravings of a man who cannot accept defeat…but enough on that, I am truly fed up with the behavior surrounding it all… ….my wife and I did get inoculated during the course of the year, in fact, just before Halloween itself we both took our booster shots - #3 – and we’re starting to slowly readjust to life as it were – still not going to movies or concerts, but, we’re out more and feel we’re adequately protected. This year also marked – in all likelihood – the end of my association with the podcast world and my long running stint – since 2014 - on The Big Scary Show… Never say never, and I am open to a shot at it now and again, but, after six years on Big Scary and two prior on the late, lamented Hauntcast, I genuinely felt the time had come to hang up my microphone for a good, long rest. “To everything there is a
